DanceVault: Location QR-codes

New: Location QR Codes

Why this feature?

In addition to QR codes for individual costumes, you can now generate QR codes for storage locations such as boxes or clothing racks. Simply scan a location QR code to instantly see which costumes should be stored there. It's the fastest way to check whether everything is in the right place.

How does it work?

  1. Go to Inventory.

  2. Click Location QR Codes in the top-right corner.

  3. You'll see an overview of all your storage locations, including the number of costumes stored at each location and its unique QR code.

Each location automatically receives a permanent QR code. The code never changes, even if you add, remove, or move costumes later.

What happens when you scan a location QR code?

Scanning a location QR code opens your inventory already filtered for that specific location. You'll only see the costumes that belong in that box or on that rack.

Note: You must be logged in and have access to the club in order to open a location.

Show, Download & Print QR Codes

Download

Click the Download button next to any location to save its QR code as an image, including the location name and the number of costumes stored there.

Print

Click Print All Labels to generate a printer-friendly page containing all location labels at once. Simply print them and attach them to your boxes or clothing racks.

New: "Location" Column in the Inventory

The inventory overview now includes a Location column, allowing you to see where every costume is stored without opening the item.

Costumes without a location display a dash ().

You can also filter the inventory by location to quickly view all costumes stored in a specific box or rack.

Improved: Smarter Location Detection

Location names are now case-insensitive and automatically cleaned up.

For example:

  • Box 1

  • box 1

  • Box 1 (with a trailing space)

are now recognized as the same location and merged automatically.

This means every physical storage location appears only once throughout the application.

Location filters are now also sorted in a natural order:

1, 2, 3, ... 9, 10, 11, 12

instead of:

1, 10, 11, 2, 3

Improved: Marketplace Commission Explained

The explanation under Settings → Marketplace has been clarified.

The platform commission is charged per rented costume (currently €0.20 per costume) and is paid by the renter.

If multiple costumes are rented in a single transaction, the commission is calculated for each costume and included in the renter's total.

Improved: Photo Uploads

Uploading large photos (for example, directly from a smartphone) could occasionally fail.

Photos are now automatically resized and optimized before uploading. This means you can upload large images without any issues, while uploads are also noticeably faster.

This improvement applies everywhere you upload photos, including:

  • Costumes

  • Bulk Scan

  • Shows

  • Club logo

  • Settings

Improved: Complete Support for Large Inventories

Previously, clubs with more than 1,000 costumes could not see their entire inventory (and therefore not all storage locations).

The full inventory is now loaded correctly, regardless of how many costumes your club has. :::
